A little over a week ago, I and numerous other patients — hundreds if not more — received a letter from MaineGeneral abruptly announcing that the Diabetes and Nutrition Center would be drastically cutting important medical care that myself and many others have depended on in central Maine, and which is not offered by a primary care physician.

It is sad that MaineGeneral has decided to no longer offer these services for the many patients who relied on the outstanding care provided by the staff of the center, and at a time when diabetes is endemic.
