JACKMAN — A fire that broke out on Saturday displaced 11 people on Main Street.

The American Red Cross is providing food, water and shelter for those displaced by the fire, according a press release sent out on Sunday. The release described the structure as a multi-family home. The Red Cross will remain in contact with those displace to provide support, including financial aid. Bingham and Solon fire departments responded to the scene.

Officials with the Moose River Fire and Rescue Department in Jackson and with the Solon and Bingham fire departments did not respond to interview requests on Sunday afternoon. Information as to what caused the fire, how large it was and how long it took to put out were not available.
