Last night my 4-year-old daughter woke up scared. She wandered down the hall, climbed in my bed, and fell fast asleep.

Then I couldn’t sleep thinking of the thousands of children on the border separated from their familes by our government with no one to comfort them through their night. I believe our country can do better.
