If you’re missing a big lizard, South Berwick police want to hear from you.

In what police describe as a first for the department, a large lizard was found sunning itself in a garden on Main Street near the intersection with Butler Street. Police shared on Facebook a photo of two smiling officers holding the reptile.

Anyone with information about the wayward lizard is asked to call police at 384-2254.
