The 10th annual Youth Ice Fishing Derby will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Lake St. George State Park, 278 Belfast-Augusta Road in Liberty, according to a news release from the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry — Bureau of Parks and Lands.
All equipment and bait will be provided to those who want to learn how to fish. Lunch and hot cocoa will be served while supplies last. There will be a warming hut as well; register in the big white barn before heading out on the ice.
The cost is $1.50 for those 12 to 64; free for all others.
