NORTH ANSON — Carrabec High School’s class of 2018 recently honored math and science teacher, David Gordon, who passed away unexpectedly in 2017. Gordon brought enthusiasm and inspiration to his classroom, as well as, always willing to lend an ear to a student that wanted to talk, or help a student with a project, or share a sports story or two. He always made time for students.
Graduates of 2018 wanted to leave behind something in his memory. A bench was purchased, with a dedication plaque, along with planters, that are placed in the high school’s lobby. A dedication ceremony took place at Carrabec on Jan. 11 with some of the 2018 classmates present.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way.
