AUGUSTA — Literacy Volunteers of Greater Augusta will host a Scrabble tournament at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Lithgow Public Library, 45 Winthrop St.
Players can sign up as an individual or as a team with up to four members. The free event will be a social tournament in a casual, relaxed atmosphere.
The snow date for this event is Saturday, Feb. 23. Registration is required, to register, stop by or call the library at 626-2415.
For those interested in more Scrabble tournaments, the Literacy Volunteers of Augusta will hold its 12th annual Team Scrabble Tournament from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at the Bangor Savings Bank. Competitive and social teams are encouraged to sign up. The registration deadline is April 2 with registration fees ranging from $5-$35, depending on the age of players and size of the team.
