The Second annual Legends of Maine Skiing Race, a giant slalom ski race to benefit the Ski Museum of Maine, is scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, March 1, on the Boris Badenov trail at Mt. Abram Ski Area on 308 Howe Hill Road in Greenwood.
The race is open to men and women ages 50 and older. Divisions are men and women age 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and older.
Registration will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Mt. Abram main lodge or in advance online at skimuseumofmaine.org.
The entry fee is $35 if registered online or $40 the day of the race. Race day lift passes for participants will cost $20.
The winners in each division will receive medals at the post race awards celebration at the Loose Boots Lounge.
Several Maine Ski Hall of Fame inductees are expected to race including former US Ski Team coach Bob Harkins and Ski Maine Executive Director, Greg Sweetser.
