WATERVILLE — The Downtown Waterville Farmers’ Market opened Thursday at its new location, at Head of Falls, where it will continue every Thursday, rain or shine, until the Thursday before Thanksgiving.

The market, open 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., was held during the winter at the Chace Community Forum in the Bill & Joan Alfond Main Street Commons at 150 Main St.
Last summer it was held on Common Street downtown, between Main and Front streets.
Launched in 2006 by the former Waterville Main Street organization, the market has received funding from MaineGeneral Health. It is a 100 percent producer-only market, meaning shoppers buy directly from the producer.
Vendors include The Apple Farm, of Fairfield; Burke Hill Farm, Cherryfield; Cornerstone Farm, Palmyra; Eagle View Gardens and Haunted Trail Pumpkins, Winslow; Good Bread, Brownfield; Heald Farm LLC, Troy; The Highlands, St. Albans; Hridaya Hermitage, Industry; humble forge blacksmithing, Waterville; Kenerson Farm, Solon; Kennebec Cheesery at Koons Farm, Sidney; LOMAH, Sangerville; The Maine Meal, Skowhegan; Marr Pond Farm, Sangerville; Snakeroot Organic Farm, Pittsfield; Stone Fox Farm Creamery, Monroe; Winterberry Farm, Belgrade; Wise Acre Farms, Kenduskeag; and Worcester’s Wild Blueberries, Orneville Township.
