The Kennebec Valley Youth Symphony Orchestras will perform at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at Hope Baptist Church, 726 Western Ave., in Manchester.
Two orchestras of young people will collaborate with special guests the CODA Chorus.
Kennebec Valley Youth Symphony, conducted by Jinwook Park, will perform “Vivaldi’s Glori,” with the CODA Chorus. Also included in the program will be selections from Beethoven’s “Prometheus Overture” and Schubert’s “Tragic Symphony.”
The preparatory ensemble, Kennebec Valley Youth Orchestra, conducted by Dan Keller, will perform selections from Telemann’s “Don Quixote Suite” and Peter Warlock’s “Capriol Suite.”
Suggested donations of $5 for adults will be accepted to help defray concert expenses. Students and children are free and encouraged to attend.
