WATERVILLE — The Alfond Youth & Community Center will hold its first Lucky 7K Run & Li’l Leprechaun 1K Dash at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 20.
Buckle up your loafers lads and lasses, and take a 4.3 mile trot starting and ending at the community center at 126 North St. Run waves are limited for safety. Events will be professionally timed by Back 40 Timing, according to a news release from the center..
The registration free for the Lucky 7K is $35. Waves will begin at 9 and 10 a.m.
The Li’l Leprechaun 1K Dash is free. It will begin at 9:30 a.m.
First 40 7K registrants will receive a free winter race hat donated by B&B Embroidery.
Prizes will be awarded to the top overall male/female finishers as well as top male/female finishers in each age category. Winners will be announced via Facebook Live.
Race participation will fill backpacks full of food for the community center’s After School Program children and their families.
