LEWISTON — Two 17-year-olds were arrested Friday in connection with gunfire last Monday near Sunnyside Park, at Summer and Whipple streets in Lewiston.
Police said the suspects were charged with Class C reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon. They are being held at the Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland.
The names of the 17-year-olds are not being released due to their ages, according to Lewiston police.
There were no injuries because of the gunfire, according to police.
In the days following the shooting, Lewiston police asked residents for information regarding the incident.
Police said there might be more charges as their investigation into the shooting continues.
