Cameron is a Maine-based pianist and composer with a particular fondness for improvised music. He obtained his Bachelors in Composition and Jazz Performance from The New School and the Mannes School in New York City. His music consists of a merging of natural themes and settings with contemporary music. His extremely eclectic influences in composition range from Scottish traditional music to Debussy, Stevie Wonder, The Goat Rodeo Sessions, Palestrina, The Beatles and beyond.
He has had the opportunity to study composition and improvisation with Aaron Parks, Gilad Hekselman, Kirk Nurock, Reggie Workman, Peter Bernstein, Jane Ira Bloom, Hal Galper, Robert Sadin, Sam Yahel, and Benita Meshulam. His compositions have premiered at various venues throughout New York and abroad from Bruno Walter Hall at Lincoln Center to the International Jazz Festival in Bern, Switzerland and Croatia.
