Two people were transported to MaineGeneral Medical Center – Thayer Center in Waterville after a motorcycle and car collided Tuesday evening at the intersection of Summer and Grove streets in Waterville, police said.
At 5:47 p.m., a 2002 grey Subaru was traveling from Carter Memorial Drive on Grove Street toward Water Street. The motorcycle, a 2012 Harley Davidson, was traveling from Water Street up the hill on Grove in the opposite direction, according to Sgt. Joshua Woods.
The car was making a left turn from Grove Street onto Summer Street in front of the motorcycle when the collision occurred.
“It was reported to us that they were non-life-threatening injuries,” Woods said.
The motorcycle was heavily damaged in the accident. The operator, a 60-year-old male, and passenger, a 61-year-old female, were taken by Delta Ambulance to the hospital from the scene.
The Subaru was heavily damaged in the accident. The operator of the Subaru was not transported to the hospital.
