Author and photographer Jane Woodruff and Skowhegan Outdoors will lead a casual stroll from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 9, along the Bernard Langlais Art Walk through downtown Skowhegan.
Participants can meet at the Main Street Skowhegan offices, 48 Court St., then set out to discover and admire the pieces held by the town of Skowhegan.
Woodruff will lead a discussion about the artist and his work as well as offer her own perspective and personal history with Langlais. Arrive 15 minutes early to check in.
Dress warmly, wear boots appropriate for snow or mud, bring water and snacks, and wear a face mask. If needed, people will have the opportunity to request winter clothing ahead of time provided by the Skowhegan Outdoors Community Gear Library.
The program is limited to 15 participants. To register, visit skowheganoutdoors.com/calendar/.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
