WINSLOW — Jennifer Ferry, a senior at Winslow High School, has been selected to receive the 2021 Principal’s Award.
Sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, the award is given in recognition of a senior’s academic excellence, outstanding school citizenship, and leadership.
Principal Chad Bell noted in making the award that Ferry is a deserving honoree, being kind, hardworking and outgoing, and seeking to make Winslow High better through her interactions with other students and staff.
The Principal’s Award is presented in more than 100 Maine public and private high schools by member principals of the MPA, the professional association which represents Maine’s school administrators.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
