
Sarah Pierce of Greene, a student at Central Maine Community College in Auburn, has been named one of seven 2021 Students of the Year by the Maine Community College System Board of Trustees.
She enrolled at CMCC because she wanted a career change, according to a news release. She earned her degree in business administration in 2019 from CMCC and is enrolled in the college’s network security program.
Pierce is vice president of the Student Senate, president of the Gender Equity Club, and a student worker in IT. Her career goals include accident investigations and becoming a digital forensics investigator specializing in transportation accidents.
