Alexa Allen, class of 2022, was selected as Monmouth Academy’s April Student of the Month.
She is a member of the National Honor Society, Monmouth Academy Student Government, Future Business Leaders of America, and the varsity cross country, basketball, and track and field teams.
In presenting this award, Alyssa Littlefield, MA English teacher, remarked, “Alexa is clever, curious, and consistent. She is an exceptional student, always striving for 4.0s and tackling learning opportunities with gumption. Additionally, this incredible athlete isn’t afraid to take risks, a quality that is somewhat hard to come by,” according to a news release from the academy.
Allen is the daughter of Kelly and Scott Allen.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
