
AUGUSTA — Two pedestrians were killed and a third person injured Thursday afternoon in a car crash in Augusta.
Augusta Deputy Police Chief Kevin Lully said the crash occurred at about 2 p.m. near 269 Cony Road.
The Augusta Police Department was investigating the incident Thursday afternoon, and Maine State Police were reconstructing the accident.
The crash reportedly involved one car that also hit a utility pole. The driver’s identity and condition were not known Thursday night.
A reporter’s repeated efforts to contact police and other rescue workers were unsuccessful Thursday, and no more information was available.
