The Augusta City Music Festival is set to begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at the Augusta Waterfront, 40 Front St. in Augusta.
The afternoon will feature music, food, drinks and games by the river, presented by Cushnoc Brewing and Kennebec Savings Bank. A variety of local bands playing and Cushnoc Brewing will provide a beer garden for those 21 and older.
Music genres range from bluegrass, rock, punk, soul, and pop. Other entertainment will include axe throwing, lawn games, 50/50 raffle, prizes, and more,
Band schedule: Breakin’ Strings will start at 2 p.m., Random Ideas will perform at 3:15 p.m., Hambone will take the stage at 4:30 p.m., Gratify is set for 5:45 p.m. and Faceplant will close the event starting at 7 p.m.
The event is sponsored by Kennebec Savings Bank, Central Maine Power, O’Connor GMC Dealership, Fidium Fiber Internet, Hannaford, Musician’s First Choice, and Greenport Co.
A portion of Cushnoc’s sales will be donated to the charity Capital Area New Mainers Project (CANMP) which is a local organization that “hosts community classes, events, and programs that celebrates the diverse cultures of central Maine.”
