The Gardiner Nazarene Church invites youths to “Roar Vacation Bible Camp: Life is wild, God is good,” a free camp planned from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, June 21-25, at 6 Nazarene Way.
Children can participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, play teamwork-building games, devour treats, sing and dance to catchy songs, experience one-of-a-kind “Wild Bible Adventures,” collect “Bible Memory Buddies” and test out “Sciency-Fun Gizmos” to bring home.
Each day concludes with a “Safari Celebration” that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned.
A closing celebration is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 27.
Roar is for children ages 3-12.
Helpers older than 13 also are invited, and their volunteering hours may count towards community service requirements for their local schools.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
