FARMINGDALE- Pauline “Vicky” Victoria Henderson Wheeler, 78, of Farmingdale died Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at MidCoast Hospital in Brunswick after a long battle with COPD.
Vicky was born in Augusta, Dec. 13, 1942, the daughter of Victor Regno Henderson and Shirley Pauline Redmond Henderson. She spent her early years in Readfield and went on to become a youth softball coach in the 1970s. She was a school bus driver for 33 years for different districts in the area.
Vicky was a lifelong Red Sox and car racing fan. She also loved Elvis.
She was predeceased by her parents, Shirley and Victor Henderson, her brother, Victor Henderson, sister, Shirley Berry, former husband, Dick Wheeler, and daughter, Paula Merrow.
Vicky is survived by her son, Richard “Rick” Wheeler Jr. and his wife Laurie Baker Wheeler of Monmouth, daughter, Connie Wheeler of Belfast, daughter, Tracy Bailey and her husband Robert “BJ’ Bailey Jr., of Bowdoinham, and her grandson she raised, Anthony “Tony” Wheeler and his fiancé Kristen Scott of Farmington, her brother, Walter “Wally” Henderson and his wife Debra Henderson of Litchfield, brother, Kenneth Henderson of Augusta, brother, Robert Henderson of Augusta, and Sheila Hall of West Gardiner; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
