Edward Lawrence Rickards

SAFETY HARBOR, Fla. – Edward Lawrence Rickards, 59, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021 at 7:40 a.m. in Safety Harbor, Fla.

Edward was born Oct. 5, 1961, to the late Vaughn Rickards and Fern Rickards. Edward’s love for travel let him to join the United States Army where he was honorably discharged in the fall of 1986.

Edward was always the jokester in the family, he always loved to put a smile on your face. He loved being outdoors and going on adventures. One of his favorite things to do was camping.

Edward was a loving, caring father, son, brother and friend to all who knew him.

Edward was predeceased by his parents Vaughn and Fern; also by his brothers Ethan and James Emery; and his niece, Jessica Headley.

Edward is survived by his two brothers Everett and Eric Rickards; his former spouse, Kimberly Rickards and their three children Donna, Linda, and Adam; and his three grandchildren, Mya, Drew and Gavin.

Services will be held August 20 at 9 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
