SKOWHEGAN – Barbara E. Mullen, 93, of Skowhegan, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 27, 2021. Barbara was born on Aug. 17, 1927, the daughter of Byron and Geneva (Campbell) Harville. Barbara graduated from Bloomfield Academy, Skowhegan High School in 1945 and went to work at New England Tel and Tel as a telephone operator. In 1948 she began working at the Sears Roebuck Catalog store in Skowhegan where she became credit manager. She also worked for Dr. Philip Russakoff as a part-time secretary.

Barbara enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Skowhegan bowling league for many years. She also enjoyed golf as a member of Lakewood Golf Club and Maine State Golf for many years. She was an avid card player who enjoyed playing bridge, cribbage, hand and foot and many other card games with her many friends.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Ethelyn Scribner of Athens and Hilda Rowell of Skowhegan and a brother, Clyde Harville of Skowhegan.

She is survived by a daughter, Paula Crockett, a grandson, Timothy Crockett, two great-grandsons, Liam and Sullivan Crockett, all of Skowhegan, and several nieces and nephews, all of whom love her dearly.

Barbara would like to thank the staff of the Redington Memorial Home for their excellent care.

At her request, there will be no funeral service.
