Roxanne P. Williams Bussell
SKOWHEGAN – Roxanne P. Williams Bussell passed away on May 4, 2021 after a long illness. Roxanne was born to Merle B. Williams and Judith A. (McNally) Williams in Skowhegan.
Roxanne attended Skowhegan schools and graduated from Skowhegan Area High School.
She is predeceased by her father, Merle Williams and mother Judith Williams.
She is survived by a sister, Gloria Williams Ladd and husband Lincoln of Wayne, sister, Bonnie Williams Smith of Lake Worth, Fla., a brother, Jeffrey Williams and wife Joellen of Las Vegas and brother, James Williams and wife Margaret of Hallowell; several nieces and nephews; stepchildren; and step-grandchildren.
She moved to Massachusetts and worked at Digital for a few years before returning to Skowhegan where she met the love of her life, Gary Bussell. They were married on August 23, 2003. In later years she and her husband Gary moved into her childhood home in Skowhegan to care for her mother.
Roxanne loved to laugh and had a beautiful smile. Her favorite things were shopping yard sales with her special friend Cindy Hyde for her collections of clowns, lighthouses, Peanuts gang. Everyone knew her favorite dessert was a chocolate Whoopi Pie from The Bankery. She loved her rescue pets dearly and looked on them like part of her family.
The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregiver, Erin McArthur for her professionalism and sincere care and concern for Roxanne and Gary and continued support for Gary.
There will be a Celebration of Life on August 1 at The Elks Club on Silver Street in Skowhegan. from 1 to 4 p.m.
