DELRAY BEACH, Fla. – Frank “Wally” “Buzzy” Buzzell, 84, of Delray Beach, Fla. passed from this earth peacefully on June 5, 2021. He was born March 24, 1937 in Hamilton, Mass. to Frank and eventually Florence “Flossie” Buzzell.

After serving in the U.S. Army, he married the love of his life, Karen Lee (McCormack) Buzzell. They resided in Beverly, Mass. where Buzzy was employed as an auto mechanic. He pursued his hobby of building and driving race cars. He was an avid life long auto racing fan.

In 1974 Wally and Karen moved to Maine to raise their family. Although he made many career choices, they always involved the automobile industry. Later, Wally and Karen retired to Delray Beach, Fla., soaking up the sun and making lasting memories.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; his daughter, Jamie Durkee and life partner Frank Bolduc of Cornville; and a very special sister-in-law, Laurie Brennan of Beverly, Mass. Also missing him will be his grandchildren Brenna (Lugdon) Curtis, Wyatt Durkee, Maeve Durkee, Joshua Withee, Courtney(Withee) Lanham; and six great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his much loved daughter, LeAnn (Buzzell) Withee, and her mother, his first wife Carol Lensky.

The family wishes there to be no service at this time. Honor his memory by watching an auto race, riding a motorcycle, or simply loving those near to you.
