NAPLES, Fla./OAKLAND – Marilyn J. (Willey) Wheeler, 72, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021, in Naples, Fla.
She was born and raised in the Waterville/Oakland area. She was a graduate of Williams High School in Oakland, the class of 1967 and attended Thomas College in Waterville.
For the past, almost 40 years, she was with the Montgomery Eye Care Center in Naples, Fla. as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician.
She was an animal lover. Over the years, she had and cared for horses, dogs and cats. She also loved to sew for herself and others.
She is survived by her mother, Elaine S. Haines of Oakland; brother, Roy D. Willey, sister-in-law Ann and niece, Kimberlee of Westbrook; great-nephew, Morgan C. Willey, his mother Katie (Willey) Hume, her husband Joe, and their family Abby, Ruth, Maxwell and Samuel of Windham; stepdaughter, Heidi (Wheeler) Trottier, her daughter, Elizabeth and son, Christopher of New Hampshire; an uncle; several cousins; and extended family and friends in Florida.
She is predeceased by her father, Walter F. Willey Jr.; husband, Henry R. Wheeler; and nephew, Christopher M. Willey.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
