
Kimberly L. Dunn
BANGOR – Kimberly L. Dunn, 58, of Bangor, died on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s and Dementia at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor.
Born in Augusta, Kimberly was the daughter of Rohnie and Virginia (Hersom) Dunn. She was the eldest of six children. The first 20 years of her life were spent in Gardiner. She was a member of the 1981 Gardiner Area High School graduating class and attended college at
the University of Maine in Orono.
From Hallowell to Presque Isle, Kimberly worked at many Maine businesses as a cook and a general laborer. In her free time, she was an avid reader, cook, gardener and cross country skier. However, Kimberly’s true passion was her love for animals, dedicating most of her life to rescuing and rehabilitating cats, dogs and horses.
Kimberly is survived by her parents Rohnie and Jane (Weeks) Dunn, of Gardiner; her brother Kevin Dunn of Clinton, La., his wife Kelly and their children Katie and Alex; her brother, Michael Dunn of Manchester and his children Abby and Brian; her brother, Rodney Dunn of Gardiner, his wife Jamie and their children Baylee and Spencer; her sister, Judith Thibodeau, her husband Robert and their children Alexis, Joseph and Jacob; and her many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Lawrence and Antonia (Desrousseux) Dunn, her maternal grandparents Carroll and Eleanor Hersom; her mother, Virginia; her brother, Rohnie Dunn Jr.; her niece, Emma Jane Thibodeau; and her uncles Richard Hersom and Bruce Dunn.
There will be a graveside ceremony to celebrate Kimberly’s life in early September for friends and family.
