PALERMO – Betty E. Keene, 78, died Saturday, July 10, 2021, at the MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center at Glenridge following a long illness. She was born in China, ME on June 8, 1943, a daughter of the late James Haskell, Sr. and Marion (Bowman) Haskell.

Mrs. Keene attended school in China.

She had been employed for several years at Erskine Academy.

Mrs. Keene was pre-deceased by her husband, Alvin L. Keene; her son, Darrell Willey and three brothers: Charles, James, Jr. and Lawrence Keene.

She is survived by three daughters: Brenda Willey and her companion Richard of Clinton, Marion DeRosier and her husband Freeman of Weeks Mills and Darlene Jackson of Palermo; a brother, Gary Haskell and his wife Kathy of Weeks Mills; three sisters: Georgia Watson, Vernie French of Weeks Mills and Virginia Wellman of Palermo; eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At her request, there will be no public visiting hours or funeral service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Plummer Funeral Home, Windsor Chapel, 983 Ridge Rd., Rt. 32, Windsor, ME.
