Calvin S. Moody

GARDINER – Calvin S. Moody passed away June 18, 2021 in Seminole, Fla. He was born Jan. 19, 1935, the son of Sylvain and Bessie Moody.He leaves behind his wife Pearl M. Moody of 24 years; a daughter Cindy L. Bates and her husband Walter Bates, a son Calvin A. Moody and his wife Valarie L. Moody. He was predeceased by his first wife of 41 years Charlotte . He loved all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.His passion was coaching any and all sports. He also took on the scouts and turned Gardiner into one of the most successful groups in the United States. He was a very talented man. He wanted a camper, so before tiny homes were a thing he built a first class truck camper we were all proud of.Cal was a great person and mentor to many. He could walk into any room, usually late, but could charm everyone there. He will certainly be missed by all that new him. There will be a small service at Oak Grove Cemetery in Gardiner, Sunday July 25 at 6 p.m. All are welcome.
