
Yvette M. Bragg
AUGUSTA – Yvette M. Bragg, 96, passed away on July 22, 2021, at Hillside Terrace in Hallowell. She was born Jan. 12, 1925, a daughter of Frank and Elise (St. Pierre) Dutil. Yvette grew up in a large family in Augusta where she attended schools locally. On March 27, 1946, she married Joseph Linwood Bragg upon his return home from World War II and the two began a family. Yvette held a couple of jobs in manufacturing in her younger years, but she was a natural homemaker who was a talented seamstress and enjoyed cooking. She also helped look after other children in the family and was a loving and favorite aunt to countless nieces and nephews. Family gatherings were some of her favorite past times where she enjoyed entertaining family and was a welcoming hostess.Yvette loved taking day trips and going out to eat with her girlfriends. Yvette was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Bragg in 1977; her sons, Sonny, and Christopher; as well as all her siblings. She is survived by her son, Richard Bragg and his wife Christine, and their two children, Sam and Julie; her daughter-in-law, Kathy Bragg and her three children, Steve, Tim, and Ginger; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.Yvette’s wishes were simple, to be cremated and buried next to Joe in the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery. No formal services will be held.A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Le Club Calumet.
