Michael G. Theberge

AUGUSTA – God needed another Angel, so he called Michael home. Michael G. Theberge, 68, passed away unexpectedly, on July 28, 2021 due to natural causes. He was born Jan. 14, 1953, a son of Roland and Madeleine (Lessard) Theberge. Mike was a one of a kind, good natured person who was easily loved by all around him. He enjoyed watching movies, going for rides, and spending time with his house mates. Mike thoroughly enjoyed people watching and had a special talent of identifying people with their car- if he saw you driving your car, he always remembered it! He was proud to be an original member in the “Uplift” program where he enjoyed participating in activities on a regular basis.He was predeceased by his parents, as well as his brother, Jean Theberge.He is survived by his sisters, Ann Smith and her husband Ed, Roxanne Simmons and her husband Wally, and sister-in-law, Joan Theberge; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and even a few great-great-nieces and nephews; countless cousins; and his special caregiver, Sharon Hamlin who was like family to Mike. A period of visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 4 from 10 – 11 a.m., Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, where a service will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in Augusta.
