NEWCASTLE — St. Patrick Church is to receive a restoration in the coming months after meeting a fundraising goal of over $320,000.

“Construction will be able to start in the fall,” said Bill Maloney of St. Patrick Church, according to a news release from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland.

The privately-owned lay trust committed to giving All Saints Parish, of which St. Patrick is a part, an additional $112,000 toward the restorations when the project is underway.

The project plan includes a new roof, detailed brickwork, cornice and window trim repair, and additional exterior renovations.
