
DAMARISCOTTA — River Arts Gallery’s 2021 “Abstract” show is scheduled to run through Sept. 11.
Representing contemporary artists from all over Maine, this show encompasses the breadth of abstract art, according to a news release. Some creations of abstract expressionism, minimalism, geometric, and abstract lyricism as well as works that expand upon cubist concepts are displayed.
Artists include David Estey of Belfast, Jaap Helder of Round Pond, Don Peterson of Cape Elizabeth, Judson Pealer of South Paris, Abbie Read of Appleton, Erin Miller of Newcastle, Joy Vaughan of South Bristol, Dennis Grafflin of Auburn, and Burke and Judith Long of Brunswick.

A reception is scheduled to be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14 at River Arts Gallery, 36 Elm St. Masks are strongly suggested.
Open hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
