The Rangeley Friends of the Arts held its 41st annual “Art in August” event Aug. 5 in Oquossoc. Prizes were awarded in both two-dimensional (wall hung) and three-dimensional (sculpture and craft) categories.
Ribbons and cash prizes were awarded to first-, second- and third-place winners. Honorable mention winners received ribbons.
John Hooper’s wood carving work won first place in the 3D category, and Doug Frati’s wood carving took first in the 2D category.

Sara Glines took second and Nancy Shaul third in the three-dimensional category, and Bill and Susan Lewis received an honorable mention.

Edgar Reimes took second and Rex Holsapple third in the two-dimensional category, and Scott Perry received an honorable mention.
