Crafters and vendors are sought to participate in an outdoor Craft and Vendor Event set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the St. Giles Episcopal Church, 72 Gardiner Road in Jefferson. The event, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., aims to raise money for the church and its outreach programs, and to bring the wider community together.
Up to 40 craft and vendor tables are available for $20 per table. Vendors will keep all the proceeds from their sales. In addition, an auction of several spectacular items will be held including a three night stay for up to five people on a fully equipped houseboat in Robin Hood harbor.
Many other items will be raffled off, at a cost of five dollars a ticket or six tickets for $20, including pizzas for a year, passes to the Camden Ski Bowl, preventative dental care, and visits to local hair salons.
The Lunchbox Food Truck will provide a variety of food choices and drinks and St. Giles parishioners will host its usual homemade pie sale and book sale.
In case of rain, the event will take place the following day, Sunday, Sept. 19.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
