Richard Kaups (Viekman)

SOLON – Richard Kaups (Viekman) of Solon, unexpectedly passed into Glory on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at the age of 92. He died peacefully with his beloved wife, Carlene Waugh Viekman, and family by his side.

Richard was born Jan. 13, 1929, in Bronx, N.Y., to Marie Spuhl and August Kaups. He was faithful to God, his wife of 67 years, his family and friends. As a preacher/teacher he lived his life by God’s grace, setting an example of God’s love.

Visitation will be Friday, Sept, 3, 6 to 8 p.m. at Smart and Edwards Funeral Home, Skowhegan.

Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, Sept. 4, 11 a.m. at Crossroads Bible Church, in Madison.
