Ernest J. Morissette

RANDOLPH – Ernest J. Morissette, 87, of Randolph, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021, at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Lewiston, Maine, on March 29, 1934, the son of Ernest and Yvonne (Champagne) Morisette.Ernest was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years, a third- and fourth-degree member, and then a past grand knight. He was an MSG in the U.S. Army for 21 years and spent much time volunteering at Togus for 30-plus years. Ernest went on to become the owner and operator of Central Maine Insurance for a number of years.He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest, and Yvonne Morissette; and his brother, Roland Morissette.He will be missed by his wife of 65 years, Vivian; his children, Anne of Columbia, Miss., Renee Wuertley of Pinedale, Wyo., Donna Wenckus of Randolph, Mark Morissette of Vassalboro, D. Jay Morissette of Georgetown, and Gary Morissette of West Gardiner, a brother, Robert Morissette of Lewiston, 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A private service will be held at a later date.Arrangements are under the care of Funeral Alternatives, 82 Western Ave., Augusta.
