I am writing in support of Mark O’Brien for mayor of Augusta. In 2018, I asked Augusta city councilors if they would consider adopting a food sovereignty ordinance in support of the local food movement. Mark immediately responded to me and was instrumental in getting the ordinance passed. I was very impressed by Mark’s responsiveness and willingness to assist a community member.

Mark grew up in Augusta, and has always been a strong advocate for the city. As a former member of both the school board and city council, Mark knows how municipal government operates and the issues facing our city.

I believe that Mark O’Brien has the qualities and experience that I look for in a candidate for mayor. Please join me in voting for Mark O’Brien for mayor of Augusta.
