TURNER — Kaden Trenoweth scored twice as Leavitt shut out Maranacook 3-0 in boys soccer action Tuesday.
Cooper McGray had a a goal and an assist for the Hornets (7-5-2) while Garrett Gaudin also had an assist. Myles Hanscom made three saves in the win.
Maranacook falls to 5-7-2.
GIRLS SOCCER
MARANACOOK 1, LEAVITT 0: Emily Harper’s goal with 15 minutes left in the second half led the Black Bears to a win over the Hornets in Readfield.
A Grace Dwyer pass floated in front of the net, where Harper met the ball and nailed a shot for the score.
Maranacook finishes the regular season with a 12-1-1 record.
“This was great for us, this is what we needed before the playoffs, a tough, physical game,” Maranacook head coach Travis Magnusson said after the game.
Leavitt falls to 4-7-3.
TEMPLE 7, PINE TREE 0: Dixie Szabo and Ella Baker each had a hat trick to pace the Bereans to the win in Freeport.
Laura Alonso Sales added a goal and an assist for Temple (4-4-0) while Karissa DeWitt made four saves.
Pine Tree falls to 4-1-0.
