SOUTH CHINA — Mackenzie Roderick scored two goals to lead the Erskine Academy girls soccer team to a 3-0 win over Lincoln Academy in a Class B South prelim game Saturday in South China.
Gabriela Sasse added a goal for the No. 4 Eagles (11-3-1).
No. 13 Lincoln Academy finishes the season with a 3-11-1 record.
OCEANSIDE 1, WATERVILLE 0 PK: The 12th-seeded Mariners won a penalty kick tiebreaker to upset the No. 5 Purple Panthers in a Class B North prelim at Waterville.
Oceanside (2-12-1) keeper Jillian Barnard finished with nine saves.
Phoenix Gatlin made five saves for Waterville (7-5-3).
WAYNFLETE 7, MADISON 0: Iris Stutzman led Waynflete with three goals and an assist, Lucy Hart added two goals, and the eighth-seeded Flyers (8-6) shut out the No. 9 Bulldogs (6-5) in a Class C South prelim in Portland.
Fallon Culley and Casey Curtis also scored and Jesse Connors made three saves for the Flyers, who will face top-seeded Hall-Dale in the quarterfinals.
Arabel Linkletter and Hope Nadeau combined to make 17 saves for Madison.
BOYS SOCCER
SACOPEE VALLEY 4, OAK HILL 1: Jonah Naratil scored all four goals to spark the Hawks to the win in the C South prelims.
James Wing and Chris Root each had two assists for Sacopee Valley (6-7-2) while Caleb Vachiano made four saves.
Fernando Davalle scored an unassisted goal for Oak Hill (7-7-1) while Ethan Lemont stopped nine shots.
FIELD HOCKEY
MESSALONSKEE 2, EDWARD LITTLE 0: Isabel Culver and Isabel Kramer each scored goals to give the No. 5 Eagles a win over the No. 12 Eddies in a Class A North prelim game in Oakland.
Francesca Caccamo had an assist for Messalonskee (10-5), while Nealey Dillon had one save to earn the shutout for the Eagles.
Edward Little finishes the season with a 1-14-0 record.
