The Central Maine Square Dance Club of Waterville is again hosting square dance lessons.
The newer program is being taught across the country with much success and a shorter learning time. Bob Brown, president and caller of the club, is teaching it to three other groups in the area, where it has been well received, according to a news release from the club.
The club will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the George J. Mitchell School, 58 Drummond Ave. in Waterville.
Anyone interested in a little activity, getting out of the house for a couple hours a week for some fun, and meeting new people should consider attending. Casual attire and soft-sole shoes are recommended.
For more information or to register in advance, call Brown at 207-447-0094.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
