GARDINER — Matthew Marshall will keep his spot on the Maine School Administrative District 11 school board, while Diane Potter will take Cullen McGough’s spot.

The three candidates ran for Gardiner’s two spots that were up this election year.

Potter received 905 votes, Marshall collected 733 votes and McGough fell short with 634 votes, according to unofficial results from Tuesday night.

Potter served two terms on the board eight years ago, she told the Kennebec Journal, and Marshall has served one three-year term. McGough served a year on the board after a former member resigned.

In addition to the votes for the three candidates, 44 voted for unspecified write-in candidates and 967 people left the question blank.
