
Pamela E. McDonald
AUGUSTA – Pamela E. McDonald, 60, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Nov. 15, 2021. She was born on Sept. 20, 1961, a daughter of Hilda (Hanscom) Gerrish and Donald Gerrish.
Pam grew up in Augusta and was a graduate of Cony High School in the class of 1979. She was a hard worker and was employed for 30 years at Friendly’s where she was a traveling manager. She later worked as a manager at Burger King. For the last ten years, Pam was a prep cook and baker for the Maine Veteran’s Home in Augusta. Her co-workers became family, and she truly enjoyed her job at the facility.
Pam loved cheering on her beloved Dallas Cowboys every Sunday, and never missed a day without her Dunkin’ coffee. She was an excellent cook who kept her family well-fed and had an unforgettable personality, described as outspoken and fun loving. Above all, Pam loved her family dearly. She was especially proud of her beloved grandchildren and enjoyed spoiling her bonus child, Jackson (her dog).
She was predeceased by her parents; her siblings, Kingston W. Paul Jr. and Linda Paul; her niece, Tasha Morang; and her beloved dog, Bella.
She is survived by her loving husband, Forrest R. McDonald Jr.; her children, Audrey Trask and her husband Tony, Leah Erving and her husband Billy, and Travis McDonald; grandchildren, Brie Newman, Dakota Hustus, Brady Trask, Dustin McDonald, and Chevy Kincaid; her siblings, Cindy Pushard and her husband Dana, Martha Lemar and her husband Robin, Shirley Warren, Marsha Smith, Kenneth Paul, and Judy Williams and her husband Dick.
A period of visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 19 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, Maine. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 27 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at the Gardiner Lion’s Club, 25 Lions St., Gardiner, Maine.
