GARDINER — Conner Nutting scored 23 points and Andrew Trombley added 20 to lead the Lawrence High School boys basketball team to a 70-55 victory over Gardiner in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs (2-0) led just 27-25 at the half before pulling away in the second half.
Wyatt Chadwick and Colby Moody each scored 11 points to lead Gardiner (0-2).
Colton Dube scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Tigers.
BREWER 74, MESSALONSKEE 48: Brock Flagg scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Witches to the KVAC A win in Oakland.
Ryder Goodwin added 14 points for Brewer (2-0) while Aaron Newcomb had 11.
Messalonskee (0-2) was led by Merrick Smith and Jacob Love with 10 points apiece.
FOREST HILLS 82, NORTH HAVEN 25: Mason Desjardins had 18 points and seven assists to lead the Tigers to the East/West Conference win in Jackman.
Braidan Welch added 16 points for Forest Hills (3-0) while Blaine Nadeau and Owen Lacasse were also in double figures with 10 apiece.
North Haven (0-1) was led by Brian Campbell and Jonathan Brown with seven points each.

LAKE REGION 71, MARANACOOK 62: Jacob Chadbourne scored 13 points to lead the Lakers in Readfield.
Jackson Libby added 12 for Lake Region (2-0).
Nick Florek, Tyler Hreben and Jacob McLaughlin each scored 14 points for the Black Bears (0-1).
CONY 86, ERSKINE ACADEMY 38: Luke Briggs scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Rams to the KVAC A win in South China.
Parker Sergent added 15 points for Cony.
Kaden Porter scored 14 points to lead the Eagles.
OLD ORCHARD BEACH 81, RICHMOND 55: Landen Johnson scored 42 points to power the Seagulls (1-0) to the win Old Orchard Beach.
Conner Vachon scored 21 points for Richmond (0-1).

HALL-DALE 50, CARRABEC 48: The Bulldogs outscored the Cobras 17-13 in the final quarter to rally for the Mountain Valley Conference win in North Anson.
Amanda Trepenier led the way with 11 points for Hall-Dale (1-0) while Jade Graham had eight and Hayden Madore seven.
Carrabec (1-1) was led by Brooke Welch with a game-high 15 points and Lindsay Hamilton with 11.
MCI 53, WINSLOW 39: Natalie Sites scored 11 points as the Huskies earned the KVAC B win in Winslow.
Danielle Dow chipped in 10 points for MCI (2-0).
Mikayla Rioux scored 16 points to pace the Black Raiders (0-1) while Harly Pomerleau had nine.
MADISON 43, BOOTHBAY 29: Ali Griffeth and Marina Griffeth each scored 10 points to lead the Bulldogs to the MVC win in Madison.
Mackenzie Robbins chipped in eight points for Madison (1-0).
Jaelynn Crocker led all scorers with 18 points for Boothbay (0-1).
