WINTHROP — Andrew Foster scored 17 points to lead the Winthrop boys basketball team to a 51-47 win over Dirigo in a Mountain Valley Conference game on Wednesday night.
Logan Baird scored 14 points, while Matt Beck added 11 points for the Ramblers (3-0).
Charlie Houghton led the Cougars (1-1) with 16 points.
SKOWHEGAN 62, MT. BLUE 52, OT: Collin LePage had 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the River Hawks in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference game in Skowhegan.
Adam Savage had 12 points and 15 rebounds, while Kyle LePage added 10 points and seven rebound for Skowhegan (1-1).
Evans Sterling led the Cougars (1-1) with 18 points, while Chandler Briggs and Charles Stevens each added 11 points.
MT. ABRAM 69, TELSTAR 26: Kayden Pillsbury lead all scorers with 19 points and threw in a pair of 3-pointers as the Roadrunners (1-2) topped the Rebels (0-3) in Bethel.
Brayden Stevens led the Rebels with 12 points.
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 50, MADISON 43: Manny Calder had 16 points to lead the Mustangs in Monmouth.
Hunter Frost had 13 points and Hayden Fletcher had 11 points for Monmouth (2-0).
Callan Franzose led Madison (1-1) with 14 points, while Thomas Dean had 11 points.
SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 51, CARRABEC 39: Jace Bryant had 14 points to lead the Phoenix.
Owen Bryant had 11 points for Spruce Mountain, while Ian York added 10 points for Spruce Mountain (1-0).
Luke Carey and Daniel Handley each scored 11 points for Carrabec (1-1).
