WINSLOW — Hannah Coolen led three players in double figures with 16 points to lead Mount View to a 58-43 win over Winslow in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference on Friday night.
Savannah Lorenz and Arianna Bradeen each added 14 points for the Mustangs.
Harly Pomerleau scored 12 points to pace Winslow.
MADISON 61, BUCKFIELD 25: Mackenzie Robbins scored 19 points and Raegan Cowan dropped in 12 in the Bulldogs’ Mountain Valley Conference win in Madison.
The Bulldogs improved to 3-1.
Alyssa Litchfield had the team-high seven points for Buckfield (0-5).
MOUNTAIN VALLEY 58, MT. ABRAM 36: Autumn Freeman tossed in the game-high 18 points and Emily Richard delivered another 10 as Mountain Valley earned the MVC win in Rumford.
Mt. Abram’s (0-4) Abi Whitney scored 16 points.
The Falcons (5-1) jumped out to 33-11 at halftime and glided the rest of the way for the victory.
BOYS BASKETBALL
MT. ABRAM 53, MADISON 35: The Roadrunners (2-5) used a strong third quarter to defeat the Bulldogs (4-4) in Strong.
Mt. Abram outscored Madison 19-8 in the third quarter to break the tie over the first two quarters. Mt. Abram’s Payton Mitchell scored 15 to lead all scorers and Kaden Pillsbury added 14 in the win.
Madison’s Callan Franzose scored 11 to pace the Bulldogs. Vernon Worthen III added nine.
