Ruby Charlene Gilmore

DAMARISCOTTA – Ruby Charlene Gilmore, 90, died on December 20, 2021 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta. She was born September 5, 1931 in Brewer to Archibald Marshall and Laura (Allen) Marshall. She grew up in the Glenburn area and attended local schools.

Ruby joined the Marines and obtained the rank of Sergeant. She was employed by the State of Maine, Department of Labor after her service.

She enjoyed yard sales, wheeling and dealing, and making fudge. She loved children and laughing. Ruby was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

Ruby was predeceased by her husband Orville Gilmore. She is survived by her granddaughter, Charlene Bailey of Round Pond, ME, great grandchildren William and Daisy Bragdon of Round Pond, ME, nieces Rosemarie of North Carolina and Judy of Lewiston, ME, and nephew Gilbert of Sidney, ME.

The family will honor Ruby’s life privately.
