Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce is once again holding its “Takeout Challenge Contest” for 2022 to help out restaurants, cafes and eateries when they need it most, according to a news release from the chamber.
For the next five weeks, people can enter to win a $25 Damon’s Beverage gift card, or one of four Chamber Gift Certificates supplied by Central Maine Motors Auto Group, by sending the chamber takeout receipts for food ordered at any of its chamber member eateries, listed at midmainechamber.com. People can scan, email, snap a photo, mail or drop off a copy of their receipt.
Emails and scans can be sent to [email protected]. Entries can also be mailed or dropped at the chamber office at 50 Elm St., Waterville.
People must include a contact number, in the event they are a winner. Weekly winners will be drawn at random each week and notified by phone or email and posted on social media.
The challenge sponsors include Damon’s Beverage & Redemption, with locations at 52 Front St. and 6 Jefferson St., Waterville; and Central Maine Motors Auto Group, with locations at 300 and 420 Kennedy Memorial Drive and 15 Airport Road, Waterville.
Chamber gift certificates also can be purchased in increments of $5, $10, $25 or $50; call the chamber at 207-873-3315.
Payments can be processed over the phone and orders can be prepared in advance, for mailing or pickup between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the chamber office.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
