Wade A. Luce

CLINTON – Wade A. Luce, 52, passed away unexpectedly Dec. 30, 2021 at Northern Light Inland Hospital in Waterville. He was born June 30, 1969 in Waterville, the son of Stanley and Sally Luce.

He graduated from Mt. View High School in 1988, then continued his education at Eastern Maine Technical College, majoring in machine tool and drafting and graduating in 1990. On August 1, 1998, he married Caroline Andrea Bouchard in Waterville. He worked prior for Melcher Brothers Logging and Construction in Bingham as a truck driver and mechanic. For the past 18 years his current job was at Carrier Chipping and Northern Maine Hauling as a truck driver/mechanic in Skowhegan.

Wade was a “jack of all trades”, he could fix anything from cars, big trucks, building vehicles from scratch, and building houses. He was always tinkering, doing repairs, he could do it all. That was his passion. He had a big heart and cared deeply for animals. He loved his huskies, Tobey and Tigger.

A heartfelt thank you to Suzanne, Veronique, and Peter Carrier, Wade’s second family of Carrier Chipping and the Clinton Fire Department for all they did.

He was loved and will be missed so much; he was my soulmate and best friend. He was known as a “big teddy bear” to many, and was loved by many friends.

Wade is survived by his wife of 31 years, Caroline A. (Bouchard) Luce of Clinton; mother, Sally Luce of Vassalboro, adoptive father, Stanley Luce of Troy; brother, Matt, brother-in-law, Jeff Bouchard and wife Heather of Virginia, sister-in-law, Jan Gagne and husband Robert of Oakland; many cousins, aunts, and uncles; two special nephews, Richard Compagnon and Ryan Gagne.
